Children's drawings, alive on the wall

A child colours a printed sheet, a phone photographs it, and seconds later it swims across a world projected in the room - in their own colours. We bring it to your preschool, school, mall or party.

Watch it work

Paper in. A living world out.

About ten seconds a drawing, and nothing for a child to operate. This is an illustrated walkthrough of the real steps, from crayon to wall.

The DraWorld wall after a drawing has arrived: a child's coloured fish swimming in the sea among other children's drawings

From a coloured sheet to the wall in about ten seconds: colour, photograph, line up the corners, send, and the drawing swims into the projected world.

  1. 01Colour the sheetA child colours a printed A4 sheet with crayon, pencil or chalk. Going over the lines is fine.
  2. 02Photograph itA teacher or volunteer photographs the whole sheet with the room's phone. The child never touches a screen.
  3. 03Line up the cornersThey drag four marks onto the sheet's corners. The photo is flattened, and the sheet's own code, FISH-001, says it's a fish.
  4. 04Send it to the wallIt reaches the wall in seconds. Only the cut-out drawing is sent. There's no name, no account and no photo of the child.
  5. 05Watch it come aliveThe world dims, the drawing appears huge, then swims off in the child's own colours. The wall keeps the newest 40 drawings, and the oldest fades out as each new one arrives.

Why DraWorld

An interactive drawing wall that comes to you

Colour-and-scan walls are usually permanent installations in a museum or play centre. DraWorld is a kids' activity you hire for the day, set up in your own hall, classroom or atrium.

  • A laptop, a projector and a phone

No scanner station or built-in screens to install. It sets up on a table and packs away the same day.

  • Works offline

The whole room runs on one laptop; the phone joins its own network. Patchy event wifi doesn't matter.

  • Real paper and crayons

Children colour by hand on an A4 sheet, not a touchscreen - the way schools and parents want them to.

  • No child data collected

No accounts, no names, no photos of faces. Only the cut-out drawing is kept, so it can appear on the wall.

Their drawing

Not our version of it.

Nothing redraws, smooths or “improves” what a child made. The only correction is undoing the room's lighting, so the yellow on the wall is the yellow in their hand.

  • Works with crayon, pencil or chalk, at any pressure
  • Colouring outside the lines is fine - the shape is known in advance

Where it fits

A kids' activity for every kind of event

Anywhere children can sit at a table and colour - a Montessori classroom, a school hall, a mall atrium, a living room or a resort kids' club.

Illustration: a preschool classroom - small children sit on cushions and at a low table with crayons and coloured sheets, cheering as their drawings appear on the projected world on the wall

Preschools & Montessoris

A circle-time activity that ends with the whole class swimming on the wall. Colouring is fine-motor practice, and naming the colours and telling where the fish goes next is the story part. No screens for the children and nothing to read.

Ages 3 and up · one classroom or the whole school

Illustration: a school hall on art day - rows of children in white uniforms sit on the floor in front of the stage, a teacher in a saree beside them, as their drawings fill the world projected on the stage wall

School art days, fairs & open days

A primary art period, a sports-meet tent or a school fair where every child adds a drawing to one shared wall. Fits the Sri Lankan school day, with no accounts and no homework.

Primary classes · art days · sports meets · open days

Illustration: a mall atrium - children colour at a drawing table in front of a big projected world, a parent photographs it with a phone, another holds a child by the hand, and shoppers look down from the glass balcony above

Mall activations & brand days

A drawing table that holds families for twenty minutes instead of two, and a wall parents photograph and post. A mascot or a sponsor's character can be its own printed sheet - ask when you book.

Weekend activations · school holidays · product launches

Illustration: a birthday party at home - children in party hats cheer at their drawings on the projected wall, beside pastel balloons and a table with a cake

Birthday parties & family events

Kids' party entertainment that every guest takes part in, not just watches: each child colours, scans and finds their own drawing on the wall before the cake.

Home parties · party venues · poya-day and Avurudu fairs

Illustration: a resort kids' club - a big window onto palms and the sea, lounge chairs and a plant, and a family watching children's drawings swim across the projected world

Hotels & resorts

A kids' club activity that runs all afternoon on one laptop and a projector, in Sinhala, Tamil or English, with no wifi needed.

Kids' clubs · holiday weekends · family packages

Questions

What parents and schools ask

More answers on how DraWorld works.

How much does DraWorld cost?
It depends on the venue, the age group and how many days it runs, so we quote per booking rather than keep a fixed price list. Send us the date, the space and roughly how many children by email or WhatsApp, and we will reply within 24 hours with a quote in LKR.
What do we need to run DraWorld at our venue?
Usually a wall, a projector, a laptop, a phone and a table for the crayons. No internet connection is needed - the installation runs on one machine in the room, and the phone joins its network.
What kinds of events is it for?
Preschool and Montessori circle times, primary school art periods, mall activations, hotel kids' clubs, birthdays, product launches and poya-day fairs - anywhere children can sit at a table and colour.
Can we have our own sheets - a mascot, a brand or a season?
Ask when you book. Nine sheets exist today, from a fish to a monster; a new subject is a new printed outline rather than new software, so tell us what you have in mind with your date and we will confirm what is possible in the quote.
Is anything about the children stored?
No accounts, no names and no photos of faces - nothing that identifies a child is collected. The only thing saved is the cut-out drawing itself, so it can appear on the wall, and it is deleted when the wall is cleared at the end of the session, or after a day at most.
What if a child draws something unkind or inappropriate?
The operator stays in control from a phone. They can pause the wall so every new drawing waits for their approval before anyone sees it, and remove any drawing from the wall in two taps. A removed drawing is deleted, not just hidden.
Does it work with any colouring style?
Yes - crayon, pencil or chalk, at any pressure. Colouring outside the lines is fine, because the shape is already known from the printed outline.
